Transcript of the video edition
Why did Braze stock jump fifty-two percent in one day? Because Salesforce agreed to buy the company. The deal is worth about five point six six billion dollars.
Braze makes software that helps companies send messages to customers, like app alerts and emails. Salesforce is paying forty-seven dollars and fifty cents a share, in cash.
That price is about fifty-eight percent above Braze’s last close. Its board backed the offer unanimously. Several holders, including co-founders, pledged about five percent of the shares to vote yes.
Salesforce says the tools will plug into its AI products, including Agentforce and its Data 360 system. Its own stock stayed about flat that day. Braze will keep its name.
So why did Braze jump fifty-two percent? A buyer is paying a big premium, and the sale is not final. Watch for the vote. Thanks for watching.
