Musk Says SpaceX and Tesla May Merge
Elon Musk says SpaceX and Tesla are considering a merger. No deal is assured.

Transcript of the video edition
Elon Musk says SpaceX and Tesla might merge. Here’s what that means.
Both companies have formed special committees to look at the idea. Musk is not on either one. He says a deal is not guaranteed. Tesla’s shareholders have a say, and they may push for a higher price before they agree to anything. Musk also pointed to shared work on A I software, chip design and robotics as reasons a deal could make sense.
Analysts say the combined company could be worth between three and a half and three point seven trillion dollars. Tesla shareholders would have to vote yes.
Nothing is final. Watch the committees. Watch the shareholder vote. That’s where this story goes next.
