Transcript of the video edition
NASA just named four astronauts for Artemis III. And they are not landing on the Moon.
NASA rewrote the plan. Artemis III is now a two-week test flight in orbit around Earth, planned for twenty twenty-seven.
The crew is Randy Bresnik, Luca Parmitano, Andre Douglas and Frank Rubio. Parmitano is the first European astronaut on an Artemis mission.
They will practice docking with early versions of landers from SpaceX and Blue Origin. That has to work before anyone lands.
Think of it like a driving lesson. You practice in a parking lot before you take the car on the highway.
The Moon landing is now planned for Artemis IV, in twenty twenty-eight. Dates like these often slip. So, will it happen?
